The 2020 CES show had a lot in store for avid viewers, perhaps one of the most striking releases during the event is the NIU RQi-GT, a brand-new electric motorcycle set for release in late 2021 by Chinese electric vehicle company NIU. With the company’s reputation for releasing products boasting unique technological features at affordable and consumer-friendly prices – the NIU RQi-GT is a guaranteed showstopper.
Arrival of Innovation
With top speeds reaching up to 100 mph, a range of up to 80 miles at city speeds of an average of 30 mph, two removable batteries with a combined power of 7kWh, and an electric power yielding up to 40 horsepower which utilizes a belt drive for Stage 1 of the driveline and a chain for the final drive – the NIU RQi-GT is definitely built and designed for the daily urban commuter.
However, what makes the NIU RQi-GT stand out from the competition is the sheer number of technological capabilities integrated into a single unit – with unique and innovative features such as a dashboard TFT display, Bluetooth, GPS, and 5G IoT connectivity all bundled together with ease. There is even an app available for downloading which allows the user to connect their NIU RQi-GT with a smartphone, keeping the rider up to date on the current diagnostics of their NIU RQi-GT model such as tire pressure to keep their unit in tip-top shape.
Quality for the Consumer
Besides quality, the NIU RQi-GT is built with consumer-friendliness as a top priority. Features such as self-parking, vehicle tracking (anti-theft), anti-lock brakes, traction control, and adaptive front headlights all aim to assist the user in the best way possible. With NIU’s efforts to create an electric motorcycle developed with smart features which makes the commuting experience much more convenient (and not just for the looks) – the NIU RQi-GT is definitely something to look out for.
