One of the main benefits of technology which continues to grow more advanced by the day is the improvement in quality of life. Activities which were done manually via traditional means decades back are not that commonplace anymore nowadays – and one of the industries to benefit the most from these advancements is none other than the music industry.
Gone are the days of placing vinyl records in and out of a turntable and exerting the maximum amount of diligence to make sure that the records don’t get damaged or else you end up with the audio quality suffering. The current generation of music lovers are fortunate enough to have the most technologically advanced music players capable of holding up to thousands of songs at the palm of their hands.
However, speaking of turntables, a nostalgic allure for the vintage music player remains to this day. With things being made digital and everything is made available in an instant, there is still something about the classic turntable which hits differently. Well, the independent record label Gearbox Records has caught wind of this growing trend, which in turn led to the birth of the Gearbox MKII Transparent Turntable, which is bound to make even the most passionate of audiophiles fall head over heels for.
As suggested by the name itself, the Gearbox MKII is a refreshing take on the iconic turntable design which introduces a one of kind transparent casing which reveals all the intricate wiring and other internal components of the turntable.
Based from the foundation of its predecessor, the Gearbox Automatic, the Gearbox MKII Transparent Turntable comes with several features such as an upgraded belt drive paired along with an aluminum pulley for maximum stability and a compact design that is inspired by the Braun turntable created by German industrial designer Dieter Rams which allows the Transparent Turntable to be placed anywhere and everywhere.
Crisp and Advanced Quality
Additionally, the Gearbox MKII also possesses multiple features to enhance audio quality and the overall listening experience such as a HiFi valve phono stage crafted to cooperate with Moving Magnet cartridges namely the pre-mounted Ortofon OM10 to deliver high quality acoustics, wireless connectivity which enables the Gearbox MKII to utilize its one-of-a-kind track recognition software via the downloadable Gearbox Automatic app, a Bluetooth transmitter which allows you to easily stream your favorite songs to the transparent turntable, and a synchronous motor which is designed to produce the least amount of noise and vibrations possible.
