If you thought you knew everything there is to know about luxury automobiles, then you haven’t heard of the Aston Martin Vulcan yet. Created by the premium British sports car manufacturer Aston Martin, the Vulcan is an iconic and treasured vehicle which will make even the most seasoned of luxury car enthusiasts fall head over heels not only for its sleek and sexy design, but also for its unbelievable rarity in the global markets.
Released in 2015, only 24 units of the Aston Martin Vulcan were released commercially – with each unit priced at an astounding $2.3 million. Clearly marketed to the wealthier population, the unbelievable rarity of the Vulcan caught the attention of millionaire car aficionados around the world – and each one willing to shell out a fortune to be a part of the twenty-four lucky owners.
Now what is it about the Aston Martin Vulcan which makes it stand out from the rest of the competition? Well, the limited-edition super vehicle also boasts an impressive arsenal of powerfully performing components which has kept it off the roads for good. Breaking expectations at lightning speed and in confident style, the track-only Aston Martin Vulcan is truly a sight to behold.
Powered by a 7.0-liter V-12 engine yielding up to 820 horsepower and 575 lb. ft. of torque at 6,500 rpm, the Aston Martin Vulcan roars through the racetracks in impressive fashion. And for more conservative drivers, there are two engine power modes also available for the supercar, with the lowest setting hitting 550 horsepower and the higher setting producing up to 675 horsepower.
Moreover, the Vulcan is built around a carbon-fiber monocoque which makes it as durable as it is as light as a feather even at top speeds. The powerful V-12 engine of the Aston Martin Vulcan is also integrated with a magnesium torque tube with a carbon-fiber driveshaft which all directs trailblazing power to an Xtrac six-speed sequential gearbox.
Safety in the Racetrack
Elegance is the name of the game for the Vulcan, and in signature Aston Martin fashion, the Vulcan’s stylish and aerodynamic design looks straight out of a Batman film. However, contrary to the action-packed flick, you won’t be at risk of any hazards as the Vulcan is built with a solid FIA safety standard passing Brembo brake system which is able to protect the vehicle and its passengers in instances of sudden stops even at the fastest possible speeds.
